The General Foreman for Bergelectric Corp. oversees labor, materials, and production on electrical construction projects, providing technical expertise in installing and troubleshooting wiring and equipment while collaborating with general contractors and customers to manage schedules and personnel. This safety‑sensitive role ensures all work meets Bergelectric standards and project specifications.
Key duties include supervising field production, assisting in job planning and material ordering, and working with project managers and superintendents to set and monitor project goals, labor efficiencies, schedules, and material costs. The foreman also ensures code compliance, prepares installation documentation and as‑built records, provides leadership to sub‑foremen, maintains safety equipment, and communicates effectively with owners, architects, contractors, and crew members.
Candidates must have three to five years of experience as an Electrical or General Foreman on commercial or industrial projects, a current Journeyman Wireman license where required, and advanced skills in reading electrical plans, single‑line blueprints, and NFPA codes. They should be proficient in managing power systems such as lighting, fire protection, security, data networks, and control panels, as well as ordering materials, tracking costs, and creating accurate as‑built documentation.
The position demands physical capabilities such as lifting 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, and working in a full‑sized tool belt while standing for extended periods. The work environment includes exposure to various weather conditions, high noise levels, and use of ladders, manlifts, or reach booms.
Bergelectric offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. The company complies with ADA, OFCCP, and affirmative action regulations, providing equal employment opportunities and adhering to federal contractor requirements.
