This position performs a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to support smooth organizational operations. It provides administrative and clerical support to an assigned location, department, or unit.
The role develops, maintains, and ensures accurate records, assists with budgetary matters, tracks department funds, and handles purchasing. It compiles reports, monitors assigned projects or program components, and manages key vendor accounts, supply inventory, and invoice submissions.
Essential duties include answering phone calls and emails promptly, scheduling appointments and referrals, managing data in spreadsheets, creating and maintaining office records, and performing data entry and filing for accounts payable, purchase orders, and equipment inventory. Additional responsibilities involve handling confidential employee files, receiving and distributing mail and packages, preparing reports for mailings and meetings, and supporting projects, events, and other departments as needed.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least three years of office clerical experience. Candidates must type at least 50 wpm, possess strong proofreading skills, be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, and have a basic understanding of office equipment and filing procedures. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems is essential.
Physical demands involve prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Pay ranges from $20‑$25 hourly DOE, accompanied by benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company‑paid life insurance, short‑term disability, 401(k) with employer match, paid vacation and holidays, training, career development, and a company vehicle when applicable.
