Director, Executive Protection
Signature Aviation
Provides aviation services, specializing in fuel, ground handling, and maintenance.
Develop and lead a new premium executive protection offering for a global aviation services company, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of high-profile guests at FBO locations worldwide.
Strategic Planning: Design and implement security protocols, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks, including physical, operational, and reputational threats, across global FBO operations.
Vendor and Partner Management: Build relationships with third-party security firms, technology providers, and local law enforcement to enhance protection capabilities and ensure compliance with global regulations. Establish a vetted global provider network with master service agreements, rate cards, and performance SLAs.
Incident Management: Oversee rapid response to security incidents, including investigations, reporting, and coordination with authorities, while ensuring minimal disruption to guest experiences.
Develop a Premium Executive Protection Offering: Create a comprehensive executive protection program tailored to the unique needs of Signature Aviation’s high-profile guests, ensuring secure, discreet, and seamless transitions through FBOs and beyond. This includes defining the service tiers of this new offering (e.g., meet-and-greet, close protection, secure ground transport, advance/site security) with clear SLAs and specifications.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all executive protection practices comply with federal, state, and international regulations, as well as industry standards for aviation security (e.g., TSA, FAA, ICAO).
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, FBO General managers, and guests to align protection services with business objectives and guest expectations, ensuring a tailored and high-touch experience. Partner with the NOC to integrate real-time monitoring, travel tracking, and threat intelligence; brief ELT on risk posture and key movements as appropriate.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments of FBO facilities, travel routes, and itineraries to identify vulnerabilities and implement proactive mitigation strategies, while maintaining dynamic risk profiles for key locations and recurring itineraries.
Guest Experience Integration: Collaborate with guest service and operations teams to ensure protection measures align with Signature Aviation’s commitment to luxury, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
