Key responsibilities include partnering with clients to develop roadmaps and business cases, evaluating market technologies, and designing system integration strategies aligned with ISA‑95 and Unified Namespace standards. The consultant supports solution design for manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, and LIMS, and guides implementation of analytics, AI/ML, digital twins, and robotics. Collaboration across CRB’s architecture, engineering, automation, and process teams ensures Industry 4.0 principles are embedded in facility projects and multidisciplinary consulting engagements.
- Partner with clients to define business goals and develop Industry 4.0 roadmaps, technology strategies, and digital maturity assessments.
- Conduct business case development and ROI analysis for digital transformation solutions.
- Evaluate market offerings for Industry 4.0 technologies and recommend solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Define system integration strategies across IT/OT architectures using ISA‑95 and Unified Namespace principles.
- Design and document manufacturing system solutions (MES, ERP, LIMS) and support implementation of data analytics, AI/ML, digital twins, and robotics use cases.
- Collaborate with client IT, OT, and automation teams to gather requirements and ensure successful integration.
- Embed Industry 4.0 principles into facility design by partnering with CRB’s architecture, engineering, and automation disciplines.
- Contribute to multi‑disciplinary consulting engagements such as operations improvement, process simulation, and sustainability projects.
- Share knowledge internally and develop best practices for CRB’s Industry 4.0 services.

Candidates should have three to five years of experience in Industry 4.0 consulting, systems integration, or digital manufacturing, alongside strong communication and client‑engagement skills. Technical familiarity with shop‑floor connectivity (OPC‑UA/DA, MQTT), IT/OT integration frameworks, and enterprise systems (MES, LIMS, ERP) is required, with exposure to AI/ML, digital twins, or robotics considered a plus. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is required; life‑sciences industry experience is preferred.
- 3–5 years experience in Industry 4.0 consulting, systems integration, or digital manufacturing.
- Strong communication and client‑engagement skills, able to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Familiarity with shop‑floor connectivity standards (OPC‑UA/DA, MQTT) and IT/OT integration frameworks (ISA‑95, Unified Namespace).
- Experience with enterprise systems such as MES, LIMS, and ERP; exposure to AI/ML, digital twins, or robotics.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field; life sciences industry experience preferred.
