The Wind Site Technician ensures smooth operation of wind turbines by performing maintenance, troubleshooting and addressing system issues, contributing to reliable clean energy for local communities regardless of prior experience in wind, electrical, mechanical or heavy‑machinery sectors.
- Maintain and repair wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered.
- Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
- Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
- Document your work and continuously improve operational processes.
- Accurately time code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Climb stairs and vertical ladders to 60‑100 m; supervise confined‑space work.
- Lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lb.
- Obtain and follow safety certifications (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest, High‑Angle Rescue, Emergency Descent, Confined Space).
- Participate in all training courses, including controlled descent exercises.

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, climb ladders up to 100 m, lift up to 50 lb, and perform tasks in various weather conditions and heights, while complying with safety training and certifications such as LOTO, electrical qualification, fall arrest and confined‑space clearance.
- Minimum 6 months of Wind Technician certification, or 1 year wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical/electrical fields.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and proactive work ethic.
- Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices.
- Physically fit, able to work in various conditions and at heights.
- Able to read, speak and follow instructions in English.
- Hold a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license and legal U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
- Established safety culture and inclusive, collaborative workplace.
- Use telephone, radios and related devices (hearing ability).
- Visual acuity with depth perception and color discrimination.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Combined weight of employee, PPE and gear must not exceed 300 lb (gear up to 40 lb).
