Operator 1st Shift

Description

The New Product Operator is responsible for the successful mechanical assembly, testing, and packaging of all new products, specifically engineering and production pilot work orders. The operator works from engineering drawings, visual instructions and all available procedures to ensure products are manufactured to specification. This position is a first‑shift role (8:00 am–4:30 pm) located in Orangeburg, NY, and reliable transportation is required.

• Read, interpret and follow specific drawings, instructions and procedures to accurately assemble, test and pack products
• Set up, assemble, wire, install, test and pack a wide variety of electronic assemblies and sub‑assemblies
• Utilize hand tools such as screwdrivers, cordless/pneumatic drill guns and other job‑specific tooling per departmental SOP
• Operate testing equipment including signal generators, multimeters and power supplies
• Perform work in accordance with quality standards, safety procedures and established guidelines
• Ensure products meet work, test and packaging specifications
• Upgrade firmware as needed following test procedures
• Follow real‑time schedule subject to changing business demands
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following 6S
• Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines
• Collaborate with various groups in a team environment
• Operate and maneuver material over 40 lb with assistance

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 2–4 years experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Lift a minimum of 40 lb unassisted
