Dispatcher - PHL Airport

Description

• Comply with company safety program and trainings.
• Maintain contact logs for each specific request i.e. operational request, maintenance malfunction and personnel.
• Run operation reports and provide recommendations to improve efficiency/productivity
• Create purchase orders and track spare parts inventory.
• Answer all phone calls and maintain contact logs for each specific request i.e. operational request, maintenance malfunction and personnel issues.
• Monitor baggage system and dispatch mechanic to address issues.
• Create parts notifications as necessary.
• Report any issues found that could potentially lead to additional system failures.
• Implement work order schedules maximizing usage of technicians and other resources.
• Coordinate the scheduling of technicians when appropriate, and customer service requirements with onsite maintenance personnel.
• Assist in the training of others.
• Assist with operational issues during outages or failures.
• Record and maintain logs of airline operational activity
• Serve as the first contact to customers and vendors.
• Respond to operational inquiries, complaints and issues within (1) minute of being notified.
• Answer phones and enter work orders into CMMS and input required response and WO information into the CMMS (IBM Maximo)
• Generate new work orders and log into CMMS system to track completion time along with materials used.
• Dispatch maintenance and custodial services as needed.
• Data entry for all preventative and corrective maintenance activity into the CMMS system.

Requirements

• Ability to write effectively in the preparation of reports and forms (Email)
• 2+ year of related experience with data entry, scheduling workloads, and/or processing work orders
• Ability to handle sensitive documents and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend complicated materials and instructions (English) and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing (English).
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• 24/7 operations; night and weekend shift work required.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
• Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule.
• Valid Driver License
• In possession of appropriate paperwork to gain and maintain employment in the US.
• Familiarity with a variety of airport operational concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to meet worksite security requirements.
• Ability to work accurately despite multiple interruptions and frequent activity and/or workload changes during a typical working day.
• Valid state driver’s license (any in US).
• Knowledge of Airport equipment is a plus.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ year of related experience in customer service or dispatching and working with airport equipment.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to drive and maintain a safe driving record.
