As part of American Engineering, individuals will play a critical role within the design teams, creating solutions for projects within the Land Development and / or Water Resources sectors. A successful candidate will be responsible for creating the design and development of a variety of civil engineering and land planning projects to track for Project Management.

American Engineering is actively seeking Civil Engineers specialized in Land Development in our Charlotte, NC office who are eager to be part of a growing engineering firm.

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Willing to relocate or commute to South Charlotte.
Experience with grading, drainage and stormwater management design, and erosion and sediment control a PLUS.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working on-site in an office setting.
Strong working knowledge in Civil drafting – road plans, commercial site plans, and residential subdivisions.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience with AutoCAD and CAD / Civil 3D.
EI preferred (or can obtain shortly after starting).
