Responsible for stakeholder and sponsor management which includes communicating and collaborating with project sponsors and key internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate project work and studies with 3rd party consultants, technology licensors and engineering contractors, while also directing, reviewing and approving their work and deliverables
Lead and/or actively participate in benefits analyses and business case development
Lead and / or actively participate in Front End Loading (FEL) 1 and FEL 2 project activities
Responsible for developing critical project documents e.g. Project- Frame, I Phase Plan, Project Design Intent, Decision Matrix, etc. and presenting to all levels of the organization
Support the development of project schedules, project execution plans and cost estimates

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and effectively translate complex information into clear updates, reports, and presentations
8+ years of Refinery/Oil & Gas experience
Strong analytical skills paired with a structured, organized approach to managing information, tasks, and priorities—enabling effective decision-making and execution in fast-paced environments
Process simulation skills/experience is an asset
Minimum 3-5 years of day-to-day refinery support experience is required (i.e. unit process engineer, maintenance engineer, etc. involved in the day-to-day operation of refinery process units)
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and anticipating future program needs to ensure readiness and sustained progress
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable leveraging digital tools
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with P.Eng.
Effective collaboration skills
Experience representing the interests of refinery owners/operators in capital project development is a strong asset
