Description

The Buy America/Canadian Content Manager is responsible for overseeing pre‑ and post‑Buy America compliance, Canadian Excellence compliance, cost audits, and bus costing activities across New Flyer and Motor Coach Industries. The role guides the costing team on regulatory processes, maintains certificates, and leads continuous‑improvement initiatives to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Lead and assign work to the Buy America/Canadian Content team while managing schedules to meet compliance deadlines.
• Prepare and manage pre‑ and post‑Buy America and Canadian Content analyses, audits, and certifications.
• Ensure invoice, quote, and documentation requests are completed to support cost audits.
• Maintain and update Buy America and Canadian Content certificates throughout the year.
• Ensure compliance with FTA and other regulatory guidelines aligned with New Flyer and MCI processes.
• Support SRCR, price/cost audits, and other costing‑related requirements.
• Provide Bills of Material to the Bid team.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and maintain related process documentation.
• Assist with year‑end inventory counts and other duties as assigned by the Costing Manager.

Requirements

Successful candidates must demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities, as well as the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. They need strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills, high accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; Oracle experience and Bill‑of‑Materials knowledge are assets.

• Knowledge of Bill of Materials is preferred.
