You will contribute across a wide range of high-end residential projects. Responsibilities will scale with experience, ranging from technical design and documentation to estimating, client interaction, and construction coordination.
- Develop AutoCAD or Dynascape drawings, SketchUp models, and Lumion renderings
- Participate in client meetings alongside senior staff
- Assist with grading concepts, detailing, and design coordination
- Produce conceptual plans, schematic designs, planting plans, and construction documents
- Revise plans based on internal and client feedback
- Prepare 3D visuals, presentation materials, and client-ready deliverables
- Attend select site meetings to ensure design intent is executed accurately
- Prepare takeoffs, material lists, and handoff packages for production teams
- Assist with cost estimating for landscape, hardscape, planting, lighting, and site elements
- Perform site measurements, as-built documentation, and project photography

- Exposure to all phases of design-build, not just production drafting
- Experience in high-end residential or estate-level projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or Dynascape), SketchUp, Lumion, and Microsoft Office
- More experienced designers (≈4–7+ years) pursuing licensure and long-term leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong design, drafting, and digital visualization skills
- Familiarity with construction standards, grading, and planting design
- 2–7+ years of professional landscape design experience (level dependent)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced design-build environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA)
- Communicate professionally and represent Scapes, Inc. with confidence
- Early-career designers (≈2–3 years) with a strong technical foundation and a desire to grow

Final compensation will be based on experience, technical skill, project responsibility, and licensure progression.
You will work directly under a licensed Senior Landscape Architect who is approaching retirement, providing rare access to mentorship, responsibility, and a clearly defined licensure track.
Compensation Range: $60,000 – $100,000+
