• Protect Gilbane and the owner from cost, quality, and schedule impacts.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and MEP staff to understand needs and provide assistance.
• Oversee and assume accountability for MEP GMP preparation.
• Assist development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
• Manage MEO document review, value engineering, and constructability with MEP field staff.
• Take responsibility for buyout, installation, and testing of control systems on multiple projects.
• Establish long‑term client relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Lead the MEP discipline and staff across simultaneous complex projects.
• Identify staffing needs and assess staff skill levels.
• Provide leadership in peer‑group activities.
• Coach and develop career growth of team members.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment to motivate and engage staff.
• Translate organizational strategy into team actions and goals.
• Collaborate with business development to align sales strategies, performance metrics, and strengthen client and partner relationships.
• Maintain OSHA 30‑hour certification.
• Troubleshoot MEP systems effectively.
• Manage the quality‑assurance process for all MEP work.
• Promote a “safety first” culture ensuring incident‑free attitude among trades.

Requirements

Gilbane is seeking a Senior MEP Manager to lead and mentor MEP teams across multiple projects, collaborating with Project Managers and Executives to define regional and project‑specific needs. The role is primarily site‑based, with occasional travel to the office for trainings and meetings.

You are a coach and leader who embraces an inclusive, empathetic mindset, providing feedback and guidance to help others excel. You set priorities, delegate work, communicate progress, and establish metrics to assess impact, quality, and timeliness while celebrating successes and sharing lessons learned.

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Bring 15+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles on large projects.
• Demonstrate strong scheduling skills and proficiency with scheduling software.
• Apply strong risk‑management capabilities.
