Bridge Design Project Engineer IV

Description

• Develop construction cost estimates and technical specifications.
• Perform interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and quality control of design calculations and drawings.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor, providing specialized input for studies and designs in the area of expertise.
• Contribute to engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
• Develop and implement study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing
• Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree; SE highly preferred
• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• 6-8+ years of La.DOT bridge design project experience
• Experience in plan production of transportation structures (bridges, culverts, retaining walls)
• Strong structural problem analysis skills and knowledge of applicable codes and engineering practices
• Proficiency in industry standard software (e.g., Civil3D, Microstation, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD, AASHTOWare)
• Ability to pass MVR check

Benefits

• Offered rate of compensation for Baton Rouge or New Orleans, La. (Louisiana regionally) will be based on the individual education, qualifications, experience and work location. The salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $180,000.00.
