Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss. This includes developing and implementing life safety systems, CPR, and first aid training.
Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facility repairs in a timely manner.
Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job subject area.
Create and approve budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Review security intelligence and quickly implement sophisticated preventative measures. Stay on top of innovative technologies and advancements in security services.
Investigate, report, and maintain records of security-related incidents on the property. Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms.

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Supervise the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations. Collaborate with department Sr. managers to resolve security needs.
Develop and implement high-level security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive approach.
Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job disciplines, and department.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
