The Installation Department Manager will oversee all aspects of our sign installation operations, from scheduling and resource planning to team development and field execution. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage current crews, coordinate with subcontractors, and strategically build out a larger in-house installation team.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permitting, and installation best practices.
  • Manage relationships with third-party installation partners.
  • Monitor project costs, labor efficiency, and equipment usage to maximize department performance.
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and equipment needs for installations.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new installers as the department grows.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for jobsite issues and problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for installation efficiency and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, production, and sales to align installation schedules with customer needs.
  • Lead, manage, and support installation crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

  • Excellent organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to recruit, build, and manage installation teams.
  • Hands-on, field-capable leader with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • 5+ years of experience in sign installation or a related construction/field service industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes, OSHA requirements, and equipment operation (cranes, lifts, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of installation methods for a wide range of sign types (channel letters, monuments, pylons, digital, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL a plus).
