Description

The Casing Driller (Deep Foundation and Tie Back Driller) is a critical member of the frontline team, responsible for drilling holes, monitoring their condition, and leading crews in the operation and care of drilling equipment. The role demands year‑round outdoor work, often in extreme conditions, and involves strenuous physical labor while upholding reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

• Perform essential maintenance tasks, such as greasing, to ensure drilling equipment functionality.
• Communicate maintenance needs and updates effectively with team members and superintendents.
• Apply drill upkeep and preventive maintenance knowledge to extend equipment life and maintain cleanliness.
• Complete precise drill logs and maintain accurate as‑built documentation.
• Achieve daily production targets and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Perform heavy lifting of construction materials (50 lb+).

Requirements

• Work safely in loud environments while wearing required PPE.
• Possess 3–5 years of geotechnical experience and a valid driver’s license.
• Travel up to three weeks continuously; obtain a DOT medical card.
• Demonstrate welding proficiency and lift 50 lb or more.
• Know various tooling and drilling techniques.
• Preferred: hold a valid CDL and have managerial experience.
• Adapt to varied climates from tropical to desert; use hearing protection as needed.
• Travel 100 % within the Western U.S.; schedule follows a 3‑weeks‑on, 1‑week‑off rotation.
