Investigates and documents all occupational injuries and illnesses. Work with relevant stakeholders to identify corrective actions(s) that will prevent further occurrences
Work with operations personnel on expectations and management of subcontractor safety (safety plans, training, etc.)
Report on KPI results for monthly, quarterly and annual results to satisfy local and corporate requirements
Development and implementation of Life Saving Controls Program

Supervises night shift Safety Specialist and determine work needed and set expectations.
Conduct regular audits and observations to identify opportunities to improve the overall robustness of the safety program
Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
Identifies and coordinates health and safety training for all employees via Learning Management System (KPA)
Maintains PPE inventory and issuance to new employees
Conducts safety meetings/trainings with employees to discuss safety and health matters, specific workplace hazards/mitigations, and employee concerns.
Support case management of all occupational injuries/illness to include provision of care/treatment, arranging for and monitoring light-duty programs, managing an injured worker’s return to work and supporting HR requests for Worker’s Compensation information
Promote engagement and meaningful feedback from operations employees to identify opportunities for improvement

Understand contractual Environmental requirements and environmental regulations to ensure environmental compliance is maintained
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Understands and appropriately influences company strategy as related to HSE compliance and program implementation.
