The Project Principal Architect will lead single‑ or multidisciplinary teams throughout all phases of a project, from development and initiation to close‑out. This role is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity, while establishing and nurturing client relationships and participating in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Staffing, workload coordination, and timely delivery of project deliverables are essential, as is financial oversight to keep projects within budget and schedule. The principal will also implement QA/QC procedures, mentor junior project managers, and collaborate with accounting and business leadership for periodic reviews.
Preferred qualifications include an interest in sustainable design and LEED, as well as PMP certification. Required credentials comprise a bachelor's degree in Architecture, licensure as a registered architect, at least 15 years of relevant experience, and a minimum of seven years managing large‑scale projects. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities, be proficient with Microsoft Office tools, possess deep knowledge of the local and regional market, and be willing to travel. An attitude that embraces the employee‑owned culture is essential.
