While not leading project development directly, the Associate Director works closely with the Project Development Manager to support project advancement through feasibility, permitting, and pre-construction milestones. This position also provides oversight of construction execution, quality, and safety, with a focus on expanding the company’s self-performing capabilities in the energy sector.
- Help ensure seamless transition from development to execution, including risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Align Energy Group initiatives with corporate priorities and support cross-divisional collaboration.
- Represent the division in executive meetings, client presentations, and industry forums.
- Drive initiatives to grow and enhance the company’s self-performing construction capacity, including field labor leadership and productivity improvement programs.
- Partner with estimating, procurement, and project controls to enhance cost performance and resource utilization.
- Foster a collaborative environment between project controls, field operations, and project management teams.
- Provide executive oversight for active energy projects, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
- Support the Project Development Manager by coordinating internal resources, ensuring design, estimating, and construction teams are properly aligned with development objectives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in safety, quality, and performance.
- Represent the company in community and stakeholder meetings, reinforcing transparency and responsible project delivery.
- Serve as a senior liaison with clients during project development to ensure clear communication and alignment with project goals.
- Implement standardized operating procedures, performance reporting, and continuous improvement measures
- Partner with the Group Director to establish business objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and growth strategies for the Energy Group.
- Serve as a senior interface for key clients, ensuring responsive communication and high-quality service.
- Partner with Human Resources and the Group Director to implement workforce planning, succession, and professional development programs.
- Support business development efforts, including pursuit strategy and relationship management.
- Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to strengthen team capabilities and leadership depth.
- Provide executive oversight and input on constructability, schedule, and budget during early project phases.

Roncelli is headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan, however, this position will have some travel to jobsites and customer meetings as needed,.
- Proven ability to manage executive-level relationships and lead through influence.
- Demonstrated success managing large, multidisciplinary projects through execution.
- Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Experience: 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience within the energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- A valid drivers license and background check required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of project execution, permitting, and EPC/self-performing models.
