  • Actively engage with current and new suppliers to maintain a competitive supply base for the commodity assigned, may select, recommend, and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
  • Travel as necessary to respective suppliers
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends, market trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
  • Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
  • Must coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products. Continuously explore the cost improvement ideas through VA/VE in close coordination with suppliers

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering Preferred)
  • Working closely with Engineering / Supplier Quality / Suppliers for technical review. Must understand technical aspect of Forging & Machined parts should be able to convey the requirements to suppliers
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
