Senior Data Manager
Oceaneering
Provides engineered products, ROVs, subsea hardware and services for marine, space, defense and energy.
Oversees GIS data management, database admin, QA/QC, and security compliance.
Ensures work given and completed is within compliance with processes, standards and policies of the organization.
Setup permissions at Database, Table and Record level with support from IT group.
Lead individual contributors to ensure the work completion is as per set standards and procedures.
Identify, assess and implement improvements to processes and technologies to deliver a better product.
Perform data entry to enhance the accuracy and coordination of data between different datasets/databases.
Work with IT, Software Engineers, and Security personnel regarding enhancements and/or improvements to data/database tools and reports.
As enhanced data is identified, the candidate will be responsible to update and correct data sets.
Management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, and administration of network security.
Support data ingest from existing DBs and flat files into SQL Database.
Create, maintain and improve documentation and data maintenance procedures related to data management and database administration.
Modernize GIS databases while supporting legacy data.
Lead and mentor less experienced employees.
Lead projects within department or job functions.
Maintain configuration control thereby ensuring precise data records.
Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) procedures to routinely ensure data quality and integrity during multiple phases of data capture.
Reviews database design and integration of systems, makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general.
Architect databases storing GIS information to support quick retrieval of data and products.
Develop and communicate DB best-practices and procedures.

Experience with ESRI ArcMap, ArcPro and/or Portal.
Must have 2-5 years of real-world experience in data management and database administration (preferably in support of federal government programs).
Knowledge of products like SonarWiz, Hypack and WinFrog.
Familiar with limitation of working on a closed network.
Experience with Geospatial Databases.
Experience with SQL, Python, File Databases, and Personal Geodatabases
Travel (~ two weeks annually).
Position tenure ship is dependent on completing the full security clearance application process successfully within 1-2 years of accepting position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Must have or be able to obtain a TS security clearance, be able to take/pass a polygraph, and be able to maintain both for the tenure of this position.
Work independently and as a team member.
Ability to solve problems with minimal support.
Must have all required IT / Security certifications and maintain for the tenure of this position.
Ability to obtain/maintain Security+ Certification.
Understand linkages between multiple SQL databases used for different functions or users.
Must have 5-9 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, GIS, Computer Science or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), & Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and their support equipment.
Experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, and Python.
Ability to import and convert multiple data formats.
