Description

The Community Director contributes to branch growth by overseeing community management, fostering positive relationships, supporting strategic planning and fiscal operations, and leading staff development.

• Oversee community management operations for the branch.
• Build positive relationships with board members, community managers, support staff, and vendors.
• Assist with strategic planning, business development, and fiscal operations at the branch level.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to efficiently serve clients.
• Serve as training liaison for community managers and support roles.
• Manage people and teams, including 2–3 associations.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all duties.

Requirements

Associa is seeking a Community Director for its Fairfield, NJ location. The role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal departments, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Successful candidates will have a solid foundation in accounting, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational abilities. A bachelor’s degree and CMCA designation are preferred, along with 5–7 years of community‑association or related experience that includes personnel management.

• Proficient knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal).
• Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented team player.
• Excellent time‑management and priority‑setting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and CMCA designation (preferred).
• 5–7 years of community association or related experience, including personnel management.
