The role is within Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group and focuses on utility planning and advisory projects. Responsibilities include preparing new generator interconnection applications, reviewing ISO feasibility and system impact studies, and conducting power system and advanced grid studies for conventional and renewable generation projects. The position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week in the office.
Candidates must hold a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background in Power Systems Analysis. At least three years of power systems engineering experience is required, encompassing knowledge of regional ISOs/RTOs, modeling of inverter‑based resources, and use of transmission planning software such as PSS/E, PSLF, and TARA. Additional expertise in dynamic transient and stability studies, strong written and verbal communication, technical report preparation, and project leadership are also essential.

The compensation range for this position is $82,380 to $125,860, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
