In this position you will work inside a Home Depot store, serving professional painting contractors who visit the Pro Desk. You’ll build and maintain relationships with local pros, assist them in selecting the right Behr products, mix paint, provide any needed tools, and ensure a fast, courteous checkout so they can return to work quickly. Your goal is to make every professional customer feel valued and to deliver a premium paint‑store experience.

• Engage professional contractors at the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself.
• Assist contractors in selecting, mixing, and tinting Behr paint products.
• Provide required paint tools and ensure quick in‑store service.
• Maintain and follow up on contractor relationships and future needs.
• Collaborate with Behr outside sales representatives and Home Depot staff.
• Lift and move items up to 75 lb as part of order preparation.
• Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce CRM.
• Offer bilingual support when available.
• Earn commissions based on gallons sold.
• Participate in a 401(k) plan with a 4 % employer match.

Requirements

The Pro Paint Specialist (PPS) role at Behr is designed for individuals who are approachable, organized, and eager to help customers. Basic computer skills are needed to navigate the customer management system, and an outgoing, positive attitude will aid in initiating conversations. No prior paint or sales experience is required—training will be provided.

Success in the role requires an outgoing personality, collaboration with Behr outside sales reps and Home Depot staff, and the ability to lift items up to 75 lb occasionally. You must enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce; prior computer experience is a plus. Bilingual ability is beneficial but not mandatory, and a high‑school diploma or GED is required.
