We are seeking a senior‑level Process Engineer to provide technical assurance and process safety support for flare and overpressure relief systems within a major upgrader operation. The role will focus on safeguarding critical process equipment, leading risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Facilitation of PHAs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, Bowties, and other risk workshops
Mentoring junior engineers and supporting commissioning/start‑up activities

Assurance for pumps, tanks, and pressure vessels
Strong knowledge of API/ASME codes and standards
APEGA P.Eng. designation required, with ability to authenticate engineering work
Familiarity with HYSYS, Unisym, Flarenet
Fire, explosion, and dispersion modelling (FRED, PHAST or equivalent)
7+ years of process safety/engineering experience in refining, upgrading, or petrochemicals
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
PRV/PVSV sizing and overpressure relief evaluations
Proven facilitation, communication, and leadership skills
