Overview

Ship/receive materials, manage freight and inventory using SAP and RF devices.

Tasks

-Interface with shipping office, customer service, drivers and carriers to ensure proper delivery -Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions -Operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material -Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights and affixing proper postage and paperwork -Drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary -Use a resource management system (SAP) to process all incoming and outgoing freight -Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed -Coordinate required emergency shipments and requests during non-work hours

What You Bring

-Basic understanding of Microsoft applications -Willingness to become certified in operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas -High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution -Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed -Good communication and interpersonal skills -Ability to lift 50 lbs. -Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future -Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position -Ability to use good judgment when handling material with a safety focus -Minimum two years’ experience in a logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes -Experience using SAP, warehouse management system
