The Fabrication Field Service Supervisor reports to the Area Manager and is based at the Welshpool Branch, joining WesTrac’s Fabrication Team on a full‑time basis. This position leads a team of Fly‑In‑Fly‑Out Boilermakers who support customer sites and WesTrac branches throughout Western Australia, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of fabrication and welding services for Caterpillar earth‑moving equipment.
In this role you will oversee the coordination and planning of field service activities, provide technical support, and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing workforce utilisation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across remote teams.
Ideal candidates are trade‑qualified Boilermakers or Fabricators with proven leadership experience in a field service environment. They must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, a commitment to safety and quality, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to manage remote teams independently. Experience with Caterpillar equipment is desirable.
The standard roster is Monday to Friday, working 10.5 hours each day, including a meal break.
