BIM Specialist

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to produce coordinated construction documents including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
• Develop and manage BIM models for low-voltage systems using Revit and other design tools
• Implement BIM standards, templates, and workflows as defined by the firm or project requirements
• Assist in the creation of project-specific content, families, and schedules as needed
• Provide support to project teams during construction, including updating as-built models and documenting field changes
• Participate in and support BIM coordination with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural)
• Maintain model accuracy and ensure compliance with client BIM execution plans and company standards

H. Stephen Jones & Associates, Inc (HSJ) is looking for a detail-oriented BIM Specialist with a focus on low-voltage systems to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of BIM experience working on large institutional projects and be familiar with BIM execution for projects involving structured cabling, AV, security, and building technology systems. This role plays a critical part in supporting our design team by developing accurate and coordinated 3D models and construction documents that align with client requirements.

• Understanding of construction documentation, BIM workflows, and coordination processes
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• 4+ years of experience in BIM modeling, drafting, and coordination within a design or engineering firm
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Exposure to scripting tools like Dynamo or add-ins like Ideate a plus
• Familiarity with BIM standards such as LOD specifications, COBie, and ISO 19650.
• Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Experience working on low-voltage systems projects
