  • Researches best business practices in- and outside the business unit to establish benchmark practices and data.
  • Performs root cause analysis on complex problems identifying potential systemic issues resulting in implementing a resolution to solve the problem.
  • Initiates new ideas and approaches; challenges orthodox practices and approaches with reasonably sound alternatives.
  • Requires continuous interaction with key customers and close coordination with Legal, Regulatory, Marketing, Billing, Accounting, Audit, Gas Supply, and other Gas Operations business units.
  • Assists with maintaining current information on the business unitÆs scorecards and metrics.
  • Facilitates / leads meetings and group discussions relevant to the business unitÆs operational effectiveness.
  • May lead project planning and creation of project work plans for special projects as assigned.
  • Performs complex financial and operational analysis to determine impact of new or modified service offerings or procedural changes; makes and implements complex decisions with minimal oversight.
  • Assists with system enhancement projects (i.e. Customer 360, ENominator) including planning, testing, and implementation of project.
  • Oversees administration of various retail natural gas programs. Entails acting as key contact for these programs with frequent interaction with regulatory and third party audit personnel ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
  • Responsible for balancing nomination data for proper allocation of volumetric, billing and financial reporting.
  • Gathers information, analyzes, designs, recommends and implements solutions in area of responsibility.

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering, accounting/finance, economics or information technology and a broad understanding of the following functions with five (5) plus years of experience in: Project Management, Operations, Marketing, or Finance/Accountin

  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop optimal recommendations and solutions.
  • Experienced business analyst who examines and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes, including complex financial or forecasting data, and recommends sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements intended to enhance the business unit's operational effectiveness. Data subject to analysis may include operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, industry benchmarks, retail natural gas programs, etc. applicable to the Gas Nominations area.
