  • Assist with drafting and design tasks for substation projects, including physical and civil layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Learn and apply POWER’s standards, procedures, and processes in project execution

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, ideally in a substation engineering environment
  • Experience using Autodesk Raster Design and Bentley Descartes
  • Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
  • Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail in assigned tasks
  • 5+ years of experience in substation design/drafting (control and/or physical design) environment
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned responsibilities
  • Strong mathematical skills and experience working with scaled drawings
  • 3+ years of experience in a substation design/drafting (control and/or physical design) environment.
  • Knowledge of substation electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with ProjectWise File Management System
  • Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members
