The Financial Analyst III – Capital Management role sits within the Finance department in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Sr. Finance Manager, Capital Management. This hybrid position works cross‑functionally to analyze trends, forecast metrics, and perform analysis that supports financial and operational business decisions as well as evaluates investment opportunities.
Key responsibilities include reporting, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial and non‑financial information to better inform stakeholders; reviewing month‑end capital results, identifying deviations from budget or forecast, and providing recommendations for capital allocation; and assisting in the preparation of annual capital budgets, forecasts, and financial reviews while ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
The analyst leverages industry‑leading process‑improvement methodologies and prior operational experience to develop key performance measures, creates and manages action plans to implement operating directives, and collaborates with finance, accounting, and corporate teams to achieve company‑wide goals. Additionally, the role facilitates communication between field finance/operations personnel and Corporate Finance, participates in project reviews, validates economic return models, and conducts ad‑hoc analysis as needed.
The position does not have supervisory duties, though the analyst may occasionally act as a team lead. The work environment is an office setting, and the role may require up to 10 % travel.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience), a minimum of five years of finance or accounting experience, U.S. work authorization, and residence in the Houston area. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills, be detail‑oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks, and possess excellent written and oral communication abilities.
