Key duties include cleaning surfaces of dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint or wall coverings, and repairing cracks and holes before coating. The painter must understand which paint types are suitable for materials such as plaster, wood, brick, and metal, and must have a good eye for color matching. Compliance with all safety and project rules is essential, and additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
The painter is responsible for demonstrating knowledge and skill in applying protective coatings to various surfaces. This role requires careful preparation and application of paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and similar areas.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and possess strong manual dexterity. Important qualifications include the ability to judge colors, knowledge of application techniques, proper tool care, and the physical stamina to work with arms raised for extended periods.
