Director, IT Internal Audit

Description

The Director of IT Internal Audit will lead the organization’s IT audit function, evaluating control effectiveness, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role requires deep expertise in IT audit methodologies, risk management, and enterprise systems, with a strong preference for Oracle experience. The director will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, mentor audit team members, and coordinate with external auditors and regulators.

• Lead planning, execution, testing, and reporting of IT audits across general controls, applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain an IT audit strategy aligned with corporate goals and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Oversee audits of Oracle ERP financial modules, access controls, change management, and data integrity.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to identify and mitigate technology and digital‑transformation risks.
• Provide guidance on IT governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor emerging technologies and regulatory changes for audit impact.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the internal audit team.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IS, CS, Accounting or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years IT audit experience, including Sarbanes‑Oxley, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior auditing experience with Oracle ERP (Cloud or E‑Business Suite).
• Strong knowledge of ITGCs, application controls, cybersecurity, and data‑privacy regulations (SOX, GDPR).
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CPA strongly preferred.
• Big 4 accounting experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience with audit and data‑analytics tools (ACL, IDEA, Power BI).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
• Knowledge of DevOps, Agile, and digital‑transformation initiatives.
