  • Ensure compliance with contract management and the commercial teams in development and execution of Time Impact Analyses (TIAs), to support communication of impacts to the project, and management teams.
  • Assess the impact(s) of changes and schedule slippages. Reports status of schedule to the appropriate project and Company management as well to the client.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness for schedule updates, reporting and forecasting, and assisting in the development of “What-if” or alternate execution strategies.
  • Ensure satisfactory schedule quality scores meet Kiewit standards and metrics through maintaining scheduling standards for the team.
  • Oversee critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) for projects.
  • Track project deliverables & monitor physical percent complete (Quantity tracking)
  • Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information. Standardize and teach best practices in scheduling functions
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Accountability for the overall performance of the Scheduling team supporting the following:
  • Provide coaching, direction, development, and performance feedback as well as appropriate project assignments to the scheduling team; Ensure the team resolves scheduling problems in a timely manner.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Oversee Master Schedule baseline development and scheduling in P6.

  • Must have 10 years of experience in Scheduling for complex, engineering/construction projects, with EPC experience, as well as at least 3 years, leading/mentoring/managing schedulers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and P6 Scheduling Software. Experience with Estimating tools like InEight, HardDollar, and systems like ProCore, Smartsheet, and MS Project preferred.
  • Experience working with project leaders, customers, and other staff managing all aspects of project controls with a focus on scheduling/planning functions.
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Skilled in the ability to prioritize competing demands from upper management.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule and train schedulers on that process.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic and professional demeanor and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to meet intense deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • BA/BS in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. If no degree, minimum of 15 years in Scheduling and Scheduling Management in Engineering and Construction.
