BIM Specialist

Description

• Work with project teams to produce accurate and cost-effective mechanical and/or plumbing coordinated and constructible shop drawings.
• Independently checks CAD work against mark-ups to ensure high quality.
• Communicate and collaborate with VDC project management and the VDC team to create high quality drawings that meet project standards, milestones, and deliverables.
• Work with and prepare external documents for mechanical and/or plumbing projects.
• Attend all coordination/BIM meetings between GC and other sub-contractors. Via Teams, Zoom, and at times on job site.
• Work directly with ductwork and pipe fabrication shops to ensure quality of models ahead of installation.
• Create and maintain accurate clash detection within Navisworks throughout the BIM process.
• Review all project submittals and specifications provided by the project management team.
• Facilitate planning meetings with the field and prefab teams to create plans/schedules for the implementation of model-based prefab.
• Generate bill of material, Trimble files, spools and spool maps.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to manage multiple ongoing and complex projects while being able to successfully meet project requirements.
• Proficient with the following software's
• A strong understanding of construction workflow processes and priorities.
• A person who holds themselves to a high quality standard and has general mechanical and/or plumbing knowledge.
