Communicate with outside attorneys and participate in Zoom calls, depositions, and mediations
Organize insurance documentation and communicate with brokers and lenders regarding policy recommendations and underwriting requirements.
Open and maintain state entities in good standing and apply for EINs.
Support the Chief Human Resources Officer, the President, and the Executive Team by reviewing legal documents, affidavits, and other legal materials.
Assist with responding to property violations and coordinating resolution efforts with internal teams.
Organize and maintain legal and insurance files.
Assist with the handling and tracking of insurance claims, including general liability, property damage, and workers’ compensation from inception through resolution.
Maintain calendars, deadlines, and schedules for legal matters.
Ensure all corporate filings are current and compliant.
Prepare for mediations, trials, and depositions.
Respond to recovery requests and compile case summaries and charts.

Analytical skills to assess complex legal matters, identify discrepancies, and evaluate potential claim weaknesses.
Proven experience in real estate or property management settings.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, the executive team, ownership, and outside counsel.
Solid understanding of legal processes related to general liability claims, litigation, and employment law.
Professional and diplomatic demeanor when interacting with residents, team members, and legal professionals.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal.
Possessing a valid paralegal certification or degree from an accredited institution is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, communication principles, and best practices.
Keen attention to detail for reviewing legal documents, communications, and data entry.
Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously and maintain accurate documentation.
Committed to ethical conduct and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, case/document management systems, and other legal tools.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
