Tasks

-Manage full-cycle recruitment across functional teams, including stakeholder management, job requirements gathering, job posting, sourcing, phone screening, reference checks, and offer preparation. -Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to work permits and permanent residency. -Support leaders by providing coaching and guidance on employee relations concerns. -Support the preparation of reports to provide leaders with insights for decision making. -Support the documentation of our systems and related processes with regular updates, throughout the lifecycle of the system. -Support the maintenance of our HRIS and HR tools for data integrity, quality, and security. -Oversee employee status changes including resignations and prepare all related HR correspondence. -Liaise with Project Managers, the Staffing team, and employees to ensure timely submission and tracking of immigration documents. -Proactively keep up to date on issues affecting mobility. -Update employee support materials as needed. -Conduct exit interviews. -Partner with hiring leads throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. -Collaborate to draft and finalize offer letters. -Support employee mobility and immigration processes, including documentation for work permits and visas, in coordination with legal and external partners.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; ability to prioritize and multi-task. -BGC Engineering Inc. does not use artificial intelligence to screen or review job applications. -Minimum 5 years of experience with HR coordination, recruitment, and employee relations functions. -Initiative, resourcefulness, strong business acumen and a curiosity to learn. -Experience with ATS/HRIS platforms (BambooHR preferred). -Knowledge of immigration fundamentals and mobility processes is considered an advantage. -Aptitude for people data analytics and reporting, from data entry and requirement gathering to building reports. -Knowledge of Canadian employment regulations including Employment Standards Act. -Post-secondary education (diploma or degree); HR or business administration programs are preferred.
