Business Development Manager

Description

• Identify and build a pipeline of clients who utilize Utility Construction Services
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to communicate customer feedback and contribute to product development discussions.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service throughout the sales process.
• Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to showcase our asphalt products.
• Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the management team.
• Identify and target potential clients in the construction and infrastructure sectors who require asphalt products for their projects.
• Target users of Paving Services and sell our capabilities.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions in line with company policies and customer expectations.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base.
• Provide technical assistance to customers by explaining the benefits and appropriate uses of various asphalt products.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and competitor offerings.
• Address customer inquiries regarding product features, benefits, and technical details.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential clients.
• Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely contract execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and threats.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and recommending suitable asphalt solutions.

Requirements

• Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience with project tracking, reporting, and scheduling
• Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members
• Ability to perform in a fast paced/high volume environment
• Five to Ten or more (5-10+) years of commercial construction experience required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
• Strong work ethic with a great attitude
• High level of leadership skills-ability to lead and hold accountable a large team with diverse skill sets
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Business or closely related field.
• Three to Five or more (3-5+) years of Business Development experience required.
• Possess a deep understanding of asphalt products, their specifications, and applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, goal- oriented, accountable, and driven to accomplish department goals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
• Three to Five (3-5) years of customer relations experience required.
• Well-Developed leadership skills and the ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a strong client service orientation.
• Strategic and forward thinking with a high level of professionalism
