Geotechnical Engineering Intern

Description

• Provide support to project managers and staff engineers by conducting engineering analysis for small size Geotechnical Engineering projects.
• Provide support to field personnel by conducting site visits to mark boring locations.
• Provide support to laboratory manager by conducting standard laboratory tests including but not limited to moisture content and Atterberg limits.
• Provide support to project managers and staff engineers by preparing report exhibits including but not limited to site vicinity map, plan of borings, geologic map, fault map and fence diagrams.
• Provide support to project managers and staff engineers by preparing boring logs using the software gINT as part of Geotechnical Engineering reports.

Requirements

• Availability to work at least 25 hours per week.
• Customer Focused
• Possess High School Diploma and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses.
• Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work.
• Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs required
