Entry-Level Bridge Engineer - Networking Event with AECOM – Raleigh

Description

• Supports and assist the development of work products such as specifications, drawings, Aand illustrative graphics.
• Provides analysis to support development of design ideas and solutions.
• Assists in preparation of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.
• Develops an awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision.
• Researches alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g. white paper research, code review.
• Assisting with the completion of field inspections and reporting on a regular basis of in-service bridges throughout North Carolina
• Assist in the design and plan preparation for new and replacement bridges and structures in North Carolina and throughout the southeast region.
• Develops details, edit specific and an awareness of QMS procedures.
• Communicates and collaborates with full design team and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree inCivil Engineering or related field.
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License, and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review.
• Experience or training in a CADD program (examples include Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Designer, Autocad)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of word processors and spreadsheet tools (Such as Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Follows specific, detail instructions and set of technical approach for design.
• Experience in structural design and/or analysis software.
