Project Manager- Landscape Architect

Description

• Contribute to marketing initiatives by showcasing successful projects and building client relationships
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met
• Track project progress, manage risks, and report on status to senior management and clients
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, planning) to ensure cohesive project delivery
• Conduct site visits, monitor construction progress, and resolve on-site issues
• Oversee preparation of design documentation including master plans, detailed designs, and construction drawings
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial parameters
• Facilitate meetings and presentations, articulating design concepts, project updates, and addressing concerns
• Provide guidance on the use of sustainable design practices and integration of green infrastructure solutions
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables
• Mentor junior staff, providing guidance on design practices and project management skills
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams including landscape architects, civil engineers, urban planners, architects and contractors
• Manage expectations and provide ongoing communication regarding project status, milestones, and changes
• Develop and refine design concepts aligned with the client's vision and project objectives
• Work with contractors and consultants to address design changes, budget adjustments, and technical problems
• Foster a positive, collaborative working environment
• Assist with business development efforts, preparing proposals, and responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals)
• Observe construction phases, ensuring design intent is executed and adjustments are made as needed
• Ensure compliance with local zoning regulations, environmental policies, and building codes
• Lead landscape architecture projects from concept through to completion

We are seeking a passionate and driven Project Manager- Landscape Architect in Nashville to lead project design efforts, mentor team members, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a technical background, shown leadership, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal design teams.

• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Strong understanding of sustainable design practices, horticulture, and site grading/drainage
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with sustainable design practices
• Proficiency in LandFX required
• 6+ years of experience in landscape architecture, with at least 2 years in a project management role
• BLA or MLA in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) is preferred
• Technical background in landscape architecture
• Leadership skills
• Proven experience managing landscape projects, including design, budgeting, and construction phases
• Experience with 3D rendering software, Lumion or Enscape preferred
• Experience with urban and green roof projects
• Experience in developing construction documents and details
• Strong working knowledge in 3D modeling software, i.e., SketchUp (Revit and Rhino are a plus) but not required
• Experience with urban, on structure, and green roof projects preferred
