The ideal candidate will support project managers, ensure accurate and timely billing, assist with revenue recognition, and respond to project and client inquiries.
Assist with project setup.

Provide year-end support for auditor requirements.
Meet with project managers and project staff to answer billing and collection questions.
Provide accurate and timely billing, collection, cost accounting, and cost analysis.

Fishbeck is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our Accounting team. This individual will play a key role in project billing and accounting processes, with a strong emphasis on Department of Transportation (DOT) billing for TX, MI, OH, and IN. Candidates with DOT billing experience are strongly preferred. Experience within the AEC industry is a plus. This position may be based in our Grand Rapids, MI; Farmington Hills, MI; or Toledo, OH office.
Experience in Deltek Vantagepoint.
Experience in project invoicing and billing.
DOT billing experience strongly preferred (TX, MI, OH, IN).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
3+ years of professional experience as a project accountant or similar role.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the phone. Accommodations may be made for otherwise qualified individuals.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
AEC industry experience is a plus.
Ability to prepare project budgets and financial forecasts.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
