Our Traffic Department works on high-profile and complex projects for state and local departments of transportation throughout North America with a concentration on the eastern US. Our traffic work is challenging, interesting, and in many cases, on the leading edge of traffic engineering applications in the industry. Our mid-level traffic engineers gain valuable experience performing a wide variety of analysis, modeling, design, and planning for multimodal transportation projects. Assignments can include: traffic safety/operations studies; development or application of Synchro, SimTraffic, TransModeler, VISSIM, and VISUM models; and design of traffic control devices (traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, lighting); work zone traffic control; ITS and CAV projects. Project assignments can range from small-scale intersection improvements to complex interchange and corridor projects, as well as innovative multimodal transportation plans.
