Assists with client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of airports, aviation facilities, process, corporate, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
Assist in the Design of special system, technology, and security components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
Modify and assist with the production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to: including airports, aviation facilities, process, corporate, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
Collaborate with senior team members (including engineers and designers) to develop drawings and documentation for Special Systems designs (including but not limited to low-voltage, technology, security and audio/visual systems).
Assist in the design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
Complies with all policies and standards
Research and compile project-related data as required by the project managers. Compiles studies and reports. Assist with specification development.
Contribute to and/or facilitate project meetings.
Assist in performing field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.
Conduct research as necessary to complete designs for rapidly changing technologies.
Update drawings provided by senior engineers or designers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD-related software.

Applies knowledge of commonly used special systems, technology, and security engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the professional engineering services industry.
Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field and 2 years related experience Required or
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
Associate Degree and 3 years related experience Required or
Basic knowledge in the theory and practices of engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
Basic knowledge in design, calculations and design systems.
Strong understanding of design software such as: AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
