We are seeking a Facilities Compliance Manager for the Business Services directorate at National Highways. The role is responsible for ensuring that service delivery complies with contracts across an allocated area, optimising performance of core facilities management services while maintaining a safe and secure environment. It will be performed on a hybrid basis, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the Exeter office.
Key duties include maintaining health and safety checks and assessments, using monitoring systems to report on the performance, compliance and quality of outsourced services, and managing property and building incidents to ensure timely resolution. The manager will also procure additional items or services in line with contractual or approved procurement routes and contribute to discrete facilities management projects.
National Highways manages and improves England’s motorways and major A roads, supporting safer, smoother journeys for customers. Business Services underpins the strategic road network by delivering procurement, finance, HR, IT and strategic planning functions that enable efficient operation, timely project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
Ideal candidates will have a relevant qualification such as BIFM or comparable experience, a solid understanding of facilities management best practices, and commercial contract management skills, with NEC3 experience viewed favourably. A strong grasp of health and safety and business continuity, together with project management experience and qualifications such as APM, is also required.
