Commercial Roofing Service Technician

Description

• Correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment
• The Service Technician is expected to learn to use those materials and tools to make the repairs required.
• The Service Technician will be responsible for setting up and utilizing safety.
• Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace
• Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
• The Service Technician will inspect the truck and keep it clean along with maintaining the inventory of materials, tools, equipment, and hardware needed to perform the assigned tasks on a daily basis.
• Assume designated responsibilities of the Service Technician in his/her absence.

Requirements

• Above average customer service skills
• The Service Technician should have working knowledge of and/or experience with roof system types.
• Proficiency with Tablets and Software such as Microsoft AX / Field Service Administration.
• The Service Technician should have excellent customer service abilities.
• Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
• Good communication skills
• The Service Technician is expected to learn the different types of roofing systems, their components, the materials, and tools used to repair them.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be able to work with and learn from fellow technicians and lead techs.
• Knowledge of roofing details, manufacturer specifications and repair procedures as defined by the NRCA.
• The Service Technician should have a willingness to learn how to properly diagnose and repair all roof systems.
• Excellent attendance
• Well organized; able to keep truck and tools neat, clean and organized
• Attention to personal appearance/dress code
