Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description

• Engage directly with clients, design teams, contractors, and approving authorities, representing Arup at site visits and project meetings to maintain quality and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
• Act as Project QS on small to medium-sized schemes, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Deliver strategic procurement advice that drives value and ensures alignment with client objectives across diverse infrastructure and building projects.
• Lead the preparation of robust cost estimates and tender documentation, enabling informed decision-making and competitive pricing strategies.
• Manage contract administration and post-contract services, ensuring commercial control and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum eight years post-qualification experience.
• Experienced in managing construction contracts (NEC, Public Works Contracts, FIDIC); and
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products and construction industry estimating software such as CostOS and CostX;
• To be commercially astute with strong numerical skills, demonstrating an attention to detail
