A global provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and project management solutions.
Field technicians conduct on‑site observations, testing, and sampling of construction materials, following project requirements and guidance from senior staff. They perform routine field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using industry‑standard equipment and methodologies. Technicians calculate and reduce data from samples, assist with drafting, and handle administrative duties as needed. Daily communication with contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers ensures that site conditions and testing requests are relayed promptly. They also help organize field equipment and report any broken or missing items.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with insurance, and the ability to lift at least 85 pounds. Candidates must be willing to learn heavy‑construction safety practices and CMT principles, and may need OSHA 10 certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with contractors, peers, and supervisors. The role welcomes applicants with no prior experience, providing a pathway to certification in ASTM laboratory standards. A commitment to safety and teamwork is paramount.
ECS supports career development by offering internal and external training programs and certification opportunities such as OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, and others. Employees receive training in ECS methodology for observations, inspections, and testing, and are expected to document findings precisely. As experience grows, the company encourages participation in certifications related to soils, concrete, and radiation safety. Professional growth is reinforced through continuous learning and mentorship. The organization aims to enhance each technician’s professional skills.
