Senior Escapes Technician

• Work flexibly across locations and share workloads as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Help reduce first-time and repeat failures, contributing to performance commitments.
• Identify themes from reviews to improve process adherence and regulatory reporting.
• Assure accurate recording of network escapes by managing process adherence and data accuracy.
• Support timely and accurate reporting of escapes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the link between Escapes Optimisation Engineers and Network Escapes Technicians, promoting proactive ways of working.
• Review and audit flooding incidents to identify learnings and drive performance improvements.
• Train, coach, and support Network Escapes Technicians and Service Delivery colleagues to improve workforce competence.
• Support in-year and year-end reporting of escapes, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidance.

If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the security vetting process for either a Counter Terrorist Check or Security Check clearance.All our roles are subject to a medical questionnaire, and further medicals when required.

• Calm and resilient under pressure.
• Strong technical background in wastewater and sewer flooding incidents.
• Good understanding of wastewater assets, failure modes, and solutions.
• Experience working with contract partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory measures, especially around flooding and collapses.
• Skilled in issue resolution to protect network stability and customer service.
• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Skilled in data analysis to support performance targets.
• Ability to interpret technical and financial information.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Yorkshire Water systems (e.g. SAP, ICE, ICOM).
