Laboratory Analyst I

Description

• Perform on the front line of environmental analysis by generating analytical data for compliance and decision‑making
• Develop hands‑on skills in analytical instrumentation, LIMS, and advanced testing methods
• Contribute directly to public safety, regulatory standards, and cleaner environments
• Perform sample preparation and analytical testing according to approved methods and protocols
• Enter and manage data in LIMS or designated systems
• Develop and maintain proficiency with a broad range of analytical equipment and software platforms
• Review and interpret results to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Document work clearly, maintaining traceable laboratory records
• Conduct routine equipment checks, troubleshooting, calibrations, and preventive maintenance
• Adhere to quality systems, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and all health, safety, and environmental standards
• Assist with laboratory housekeeping, glassware cleaning, inventory, and supply management
• Participate in cross‑training to support workload balance and operational needs
• Manage and process high volumes of samples efficiently

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field
• Possess hands‑on experience in a professional or academic laboratory setting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work outside normal hours to support business needs and deadlines
